What was discussed

The session discussed how to bridge the gap between a research seed and its growth into a business, from the perspective of the mechanisms on the receiving corporate side. Barriers such as the lack of a visible path to commercialization and the mismatch with the evaluation criteria of large companies were raised. On the iCube concept, which combines research knowledge with consumer data, the need for an environment that distinguishes facts confirmed by research from AI hypotheses and allows users to return to the sources was discussed. A design that varies the freedom and discipline of funding at each stage of exploration, demonstration, and commercialization was also proposed.

About this session

The late 2020s trace the road from AI to AGI. In an age where AI is spreading rapidly, what new paths to industry creation can we hold? Going beyond market creation, we unpack the partnerships and actions needed to create industries in which culture and daily life are present together, with Yasuo Nishiyama, who has become the head of Hakuhodo DY Holdings. A special lecture given for this forum.
